| Fridays Fridays are the messiest day of the week. There were no ECA on Fridays as boarders would be heading home. The sudden departure of the whole school eventful - four huge uncommonly seen full-length single-deck buses, a dozen or so of mini vans plus about a hundred private cars of various brands and ages. There were parents in suits waiting for their kids and I often wondered, while being the 18th person being squeezed into small container that ought to keep 12 persons only, that why they didn't need to go to work at all. The general line-to-take I convinced myself was that they were business people hence they were more "flexible". It was until many years later that I realised only some of the people need to work in the day time regularly on week days, and actually quite many have certainly a lot more dynamic life - which I won't enjoy throughout my life, unless I outlive expectations. |

| 定型 那天給說是常扮cute，有點不知所措。每個人都有些自我的性格定型，會對一些跟這個型相配的形容較為受落，而對另一些則不會。很喜歡一些給自己看事物時多一個角度的朋友，因為他們讓自己的生命更豐富、更有色彩；縱或他們的見解可能跟自己的認同有所出入，總覺得帶來的沖擊讓自己對世界的理解有更深一層的領會。 不過，仍要澄清：我那有扮cute。 |

| Intimidation A: People are so "deflated" generally. They just won't keep up with the tempo. Do you think that many people's lives have no bar lines at all? Just plenty of free rhythms without pulse. B: Sounds jazzy to me... I think we all have our own bar lines... after all, each composition is unique, although there exists similar underlying structural elements, however not universal. That makes us unique, I suppose. But it's not possible not to have bar lines, because we certainly have some values, constraints, and systems in life... but perhaps it's the variation of them that seem reckless. C: It's fast, close, articulate and... scary. |

| 功虧一簣 《衣櫥與磨菇》 獅與貓都因悶，離家到外邊逛逛。經過遼闊的森林、跨過滔滔河流，他們在一棵大黃樹下相遇。 「貓小姐，你的眼睛很亮麗呢！」獅子吼叫著，「嘗臉跟我一塊吃點奶酪餅吧？」 貓有點遲疑中帶點驚恐地說，「我也想…但我怕我們的相遇會發展為情事…其實，我們都穿著漂亮的金黃外衣，我們何不走在一塊在森林裏到處炫耀？」 其實他們不太了解何謂「走在一塊」。他們便一邊走一邊閒談著。不久便來到了一個青白間的衣櫥前。 「這便是我的家！」獅說，「是有點窘也很小，不過，哈，這便是我居住的地方。」 貓小姐問：「我可以看看嗎？」 「當然。你的家在附近嗎？」 「呵呵，我的家在海邊，是磨菇形的，橙紅色，帶有很香的百合花的味道。不過…我的家早前給暴雪吹散了。哈，你的家其實很不錯，是那一位建築師的作品？」貓小姐問。 獅一臉窘困，「我…我其實在附近的村莊裏找到這個衣櫥，我每天都擔驚受怕，怕他們會來尋找遺失了的衣櫥…」 穿著金黃色大褸的貓決定協助獅，獅也秘密地決定要協助金毛貓，所以他們便把衣櫥搬到森林深處的大黃樹下住在一起。 他們成為了很要好的伙伴，每天一起種磨菇及行catwalks。 |
